What is a Flower Essence?

A flower essence is an extract from a flower, which conveys the etheric pattern, or imprint from a specific plant.
Flower essences are potent preparations that work in a similar manner to homeopathic medicine utilizing the frequency or vibration of the plant.

The Evolution of Flower Essences

Time renews itself like a rising spiral refining itself in never ending evolution.

All living things have life because of a vital energy, of "chi", as the Chinese would call it, "prana" the Indians, or "Life Force" in Western cultures. Although scientists have trouble measuring this life force, the fact that we live at all, shows that it exists.

Based on their discoveries about energy thousands of years ago, the Chinese and the Indians built their concepts about health around bringing disharmonious energies in mind, body and spirit into balance. To them, illnesses and health all have energy patterns. Healing is aimed at modifying a person's energy patterns of illness to an energy pattern that reflects balance and health. Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation and Kinesiology are all based on these principles.

The healing benefits of flower essences were known through history. Ancient cultures used vibrational healing instead of or in parallel with other methods.

The German physician Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann (1755 - 1843), the father of homoeopathy, performed wide-ranging research, which is the basis of modern homeopathic therapy. Hahnemann used substances like herbs and minerals for his remedies.

Inspired by the traditions, Edward Bach (England 1886 -1936), developed the flower essences in more recent times. He focused on the root of diseases and came to the conclusion that emotional stress is the cause of disease. He found certain flowers that are helpful in clearing deep emotional imbalances, which in turn are beneficial in healing. Bach used cut flowers and water for his remedies.

The original method, developed by Dr. Bach, is that flowers are picked in the morning and placed in a glass bowl with water. The bowl with the flowers is left for three hours, until they fade, in the bright sun. During this time, the frequency of the flowers is transmitted to the water.

Since the discoveries of Dr. Bach's Flower Remedies in the 1930's, life has evolved and mankind is now faced with environmental pollution, genetic food supplies, technology, electromagnetic fields, stresses and diseases of the twenty-first century.

There has been so much advancement in this decade in the development of technology, medicine, and modern equipment for healing. We have obtained all this knowledge and at the same time reintroduced old herbal and natural remedies. We have all the "logical" answers today!
